Cruise through the
Tunnel to see the Predator and Coral Reef Exhibits. The coral reef
exhibit is the largest in the world, and an amazing experience you
won’t forget. At our Hot Topics exhibit, watch out for the
sea snakes, stonefish and the lion fish at the Dangerous Animals
exhibit. Find out what issues are affecting life on the reef and
how you can help.

| IMAX Theatre
Sitemap If you have never viewed a movie or
documentary in an IMAX theaters then you are in for a treat for
this is truly something special. A standard IMAX theater typically
has a huge rectangular screen, usually 16 meters high and 22 meters
wide. The largest IMAX screen stands 30 meters high, obviously it
is many times larger than the screen at your local movie theater.
IMAX domes - An IMAX dome provides a hemispherical
screen that wraps the entire theater and you. The moment you enter
the dome you have the sensation you are in for something special,and
you are. The effect is amazing. The screen is so large it entirely
fill your field of vision. By
doing this, the screen gives you an incredible feeling of being
there. There is no distractions , and your feeling of motion is
enhanced in fact, the feeling of motion is so strong that some people
may become ill.

of, the gun team on the Pandora. (Visitors need to wear closed in
shoes, and be over the age of eight to be part of the team.)

10am - 12noon See Pandora artefacts being packed for storage in
the 'lab' in the Pandora Gallery.
*Thursday mornings Peek into the behind-the-scenes window at the
far end of the Great Gallery on Level One and watch the taxidermy
team at work.
Dinosaur puzzle - try out the new giant dinosaur puzzle on Level
2.
Skeleton Plates - choose from five different skeletons to make
a rubbing.
Science Centre - Science disguised as magic. Be amazed as balls
appear to float in mid-air, your body disappears before your eyes
and you can form part of a battery.
